Nutritional skills

Parrots are wonderful pets, known for their vibrant colors and playful nature.
What is often quickly forgotten is that the right nutrition is crucial for their health and well-being.

Vary in Seeds and Nuts
A common mistake is feeding only one type of seed or nut. Parrots, like humans, benefit from variety in their diet. Try offering different basic seeds such as milo, oats, and hemp seed or a natural balance specially designed for your bird species. Nuts like walnuts, pili nuts, almonds, and cedar nuts can also be a great addition, but limit the amount due to their high fat content.

Especially with winter approaching, birds instinctively need more fats.
This is their reserve to survive the winter in nature.
Where they leave nuts in the spring, they are now gratefully eaten.
Some nuts are dropped into the water tray.. how clever they are!
Want...
some parrot species have difficulty with a certain substance that disappears in the water.
So what we perceive as messy is actually an intermediate stage of the meal.
